Suspension of registration of vehicle [sec – 53 (1)(a)(b) ]

1)   
If registering authority believes that the use of vehicle in a public place would constitute a danger to public life or  
2) 
 Vehicle in use dose not confirm to the provisions of motor vehicle act and rules then the registration is suspended till the defects are rectified.  
3) 
Vehicles used for hire or reward without a valid permit ( clandestine operation of passengers). The registration is suspended for a maximum period of four months.  
4)
Unauthorised alterations in the vehicle like change of chassis and engine without prior approval 
5)
Use of mechanically unfit vehicle in a public place.  
6)
 Violation of emission norms by a vehicle.
